Save the date for our August PUG Meeting which will be on August 31st at 6 p.m.

Wedding season will start winding down soon and so I thought it would great to take a break from the wedding craziness and provide a different type of shooting opportunity. The shoot will be geared towards encouraging each of us to make the shoot a bit more abstract than we normally shoot (framing, angles, lighting etc.) and/or try something different (shoot shallow, with off camera flash, etc.)

We will be meeting in the courtyard of the downtown Salt Lake City Library at 6 p.m. and from there we will move around downtown with our model and just get creative together! If you have ideas for props, location or clothing please let me know or bring them along! I always value your input. As always, PUGS are free to join and you don’t need to be a Pictage Member to attend! Remember to join us on our SLC PUG Facebook Page here.

If you have any questions please feel free to email me. My cell phone number is 801-349-0718 if you need to text/call me on the day of the shootl

Address to the library: 210 East 400 South Salt Lake City, UT 84111

Attached is a photo of the model we will be shooting.

Because I suck at posting on my blog, I fear many of my potential clients may not think I am working.  To reassure you that I am, please head on over to my Facebook account where you will see my most recent work.  I will TRY to be better at posting on my blog!

Remember to become a fan if you like my work!

Shearer Family

December 20, 2009

Untitled-1TWOGWENNcuteALLI-129all-126-116-75-74 I love it when families work on details of the shoot with me beforehand. Things like wardrobe, hair accessories, tights, shoes, sweaters, hair, makeup and selecting the location of the shoot make A HUGE difference in the outcome of the photos. Meet the Shearer Family. They were a perfect example of one of those families that prepared well in advance and they have gorgeous pictures to show for it. (Not to mention the kiddos are so freaking cute, plus they picked a pretty cool photographer too.) Next time you book a shoot, whether it be a wedding, family, or senior session please take the time to plan the details in advance. I am good, but lets face it…I am not THAT good! :0)

Here are some photos that I took of The Sold By An Angel Real Estate Team. These photos are going to be used for their business cards, marketing materials and website. These ladies have a selling average of about two homes per week. That is unheard of! I am so lucky to be able to work with them both through my photography and also with my future real estate needs. To see behind the scenes footage of the shoot, go here.

Talus in Flight

December 8, 2009

animationIt is not that I have too much time on my hands….really it is quite the contrary.  This is just evidence that I am really tired and needed a break from editing photos.  When I shot this series of photos,  I imagined this exact set up in my head.  So here it is! Aren’t you lucky? You get to see a small portion of what I visualize on a shoot.  I hope you enjoy my indulgent post.

Fab Photog Jon

September 4, 2008

It is always fun to collaborate with other photogs! I have had the privilege of working with the always fabulous Jon on several projects lately. He is fun, funny and very talented! I wish I could bottle up all of his funny jokes and use them at any given moment! It would come in handy during those dull moments that occur in life!
