Rockin’ Weather

September 19, 2009

This set was done for a mom, her daughter and a few friends. The day of the session it had been raining nonstop and we were unsure if we should cancel or go for it. I am glad we didn’t cancel the session, the light was perfect and it wasn’t too hot either. I dig pictures with overcast skies…I think that came from my time living in Washington. So don’t stress too much if you have a session planned on a day with rain…sometimes the photographs turn out better than expected; all because of some rockin’ weather.

Hello! Here is a sneak peak of one of my favorite pictures from a shoot from a few weeks ago. I can’t wait for you to see the rest!

Here are some photos of a little girl that I really adore. She is wonderful to take photos of and is always a good sport when I want to try something a little different.(Sometimes when she sees my camera come out though, she runs the other way. Is that a bad sign?) This little gal loves doing a lot of things, including posing for the camera. Sometimes I have a hard time getting her to “not pose” so I can capture the sweet but spunky personality that she has. Look at the photos and try to guess which ones are spunky, sweet, or posed. Which style do you prefer?

Anyone who knows me well knows how much I adore anything that shimmers or is glittery. I adore these pictures for that reason. They are just enchanting! If I could make everything in my world glittery I would. Oh, yes I would! Trust me, a little glitz can go a long way!

Won’t you be my Valentine?

This was the coolest shoot! I couldn’t wait to choose a few lovely photos for posting, but instead decided upon a slide show because there were so many that ROCK! Enjoy!

Fun In Evanston

November 16, 2008

Can these kids get ANY cuter? I went to Evanston to take pictures of the oldest boy for his senior pictures, and ended up taking pictures of all 5 of these cuties! I couldn’t resist, plus the backdrop was awesome. We shot all of the pictures right next to the Bear River. The lighting was perfect, it was a bit chilly, but WOW we had a great time. My husband John is getting pretty good at getting people to laugh for the camera. What would I do without him? Anyway it was a pleasure working with the fabulous Barton family, and I hope”Mr. J” LOVES his senior pictures.
